Meet our team.

Since 1994, ON HOLD:32 has been helping clients transform their “hold” time into a powerful marketing tool that allows them to project a professional image, provide a unique opportunity to promote their products and services, and decrease hang-ups. Each of our customized programs includes: expert program design based on your specific needs; nationwide system installation coordination; dedicated account management; responsive service and support from our in-house team; and payment options. We’ve built a nationwide client base by delivering a level of service that most other providers cannot. That’s especially important if you have many locations across the country.

Mike Groom, President

Mike Groom founded ON HOLD:32 in 1994. Prior to this, Mike was a Sales Executive for Voice-Tel of the Triangle, selling voice mail services to businesses and individuals. Before Voice-Tel, he was Founder of Voice Mail of America (VMAC) in New Haven, CT, where he started the very first voice mail company in New England dedicated to providing voice mailboxes to small or medium sized businesses that couldn’t afford their own voice mail systems. Prior to VMAC, he was the National Call Center Manager for Executone Telephone Systems in Darien, CT.
Mike is a graduate of Woodstock Academy High School in CT and attended Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA. He and his wife Suzanne have six amazing children. In 2003, Mike & Suzanne started the Chris Groom Memorial Fund to honor their son Chris, and each year they raise thousands of dollars to benefit underprivileged and needy children throughout the area.
Mike is an avid golfer, a huge Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Hurricanes fan, and an “I can still do this” athlete, stuck in an “I can’t do this anymore” body.  He is a faithful member of North Raleigh United Methodist Church, where he serves as the Leader of the Church Council, a member of the Finance and Lay Leadership Committees, and an usher each Sunday.  When he’s not at work or at church, he spends his time with his family, which usually means dropping them off or picking them up from some extracurricular activity.

Lee-Ann Catlin, General Manager

Lee-Ann Catlin has been with ON HOLD:32 since 2001.  While originally working as a single employee managing all facets of new accounts, she now enjoys working as the General Manager, being responsible for overseeing day-to-day business operations, coordinating and working directly with customers to develop content for the production of custom recordings. Her research and reinforcement of existing marketing campaigns create an on-hold recording that provides an additional layer for each company’s existing marketing efforts. Additionally, her experience and longevity with the company have led to the enjoyment of building many long term relationships with our customers.

Rachel Irwin, Corporate Account Manager

Rachel initially joined the ON HOLD:32 team as the Sales and Marketing Coordinator, and quickly learned the ropes. As a wearer of multiple hats, her diverse background encompasses experience and skills in areas including customer service, marketing, graphic design and finance. When she’s not working, she’s enjoying time adventuring with her family, gardening and practicing martial arts.

Andy, Studio Manager

Eric, Audio Technician

Natalie Mills, Administrative Assistant

Natalie joined the ON HOLD Team earlier this year. She has an eclectic background consisting of insurance, auto finance, and customer service; with experience in policy services, data entry, administrative operations, and accounts payable/receivable to name a few. Outside of her professional life, she combines two worlds. She was born and raised across the pond in Yorkshire, England and found her way to the U.S. Although this lass has British blood and an accent, she loves her American life, being engulfed in sunshine while enjoying the beaches and pool with admiration.
In her free time she loves to paint, read and spend time with her husband and two wonderful children. She loves to cook, but has yet to master how to make a crumpet (don’t tell her mum). And it’s no fail, if you ask her for some advice her reply is, “When in doubt, have a cup of tea!”
